The Reign of Kindo is a new (ish) jazz-fusion/jazz-rock band with an EP and two studio albums out. They are most definitely at least some what prog. You can judge for yourself, but IMO they should be on this website!
Each song is creative, jazzy, melodic, funky, and just amazing! They've got my vote.

I heard their last album, interesting indie-pop with few jazzy elements

If it helps at all, wikipedia says they're progressive rock

I don't know if I will disappoint you saying Wiki is not the best source for such information
But - if you trust Wiki, just read Wiki's reviews for each 3 of band's releases. Each of them is tagged as " indie rock", nothing else is mentioned. If all existing band's releases Wiki tagged as "indie", but band at the same time is tagged as "progressive", possibly they (Wiki) have secret reason for such decision.
I can decide only by their releases, so - still indie-pop for me

haha it was only a joke.
imo they have a certain oddity of style so that they don't fit as nicely into the indie rock scene. they have a jazz based sound, some of which, such as "bullets in the air" (video above) have a funky prog-ish sound.

I can agree they have some not very usual for indie-pop elements in their music, indeed. Even more, they even have a few touches of avant (some sources place them in avant category, what was a reason I just listened to them). But their main sound is still indie-pop, all other additives in whole are kind of spices in a soup, and far not enough to change their style's tag. But - it's just my opinion, so I believe there could be more different evaluations for sure

I'll check them too, I love artsy indie.

Hmmmmm, progressive songwriting with "meaty" instrumental interplay, strong melodies with soul and vocal jazz flavours (especially the vocal melodies). Very interesting! I'll ask the Crossover Prog team to evaluate. Amazing discovery...

What an awesome band!
Although I can't see the pop element, I think they should fit in jazz rock as some kind of soft jazz-rock.

Thanks!
If you're a Youtuber, the channel rpoland is a must. Thats how I discovered these guys. Mostly solo acoustic stuff, which is still great (which, now that I've brought this up, I wonder if they would be considered prog folk or something)

I agree with term " soft-jazz rock" as element in their music, but it's not the genre progressive JRF is related with. (It like Nightwish in symphonic pop-metal - nice (previous) vocalist, melodic sound, some even like this music, but no relation with progressive metal ).
For sure, these guys are really better musicians than NW, so possibly Crossover could be right place for them.

I think either J-R or Xover would be great choices for these guys. Very poppy, but the instrumentation is clearly Jazz-inspired.
Thank you so much for bringing them up here. I love what I've been hearing.

From the samples above at least as interesting as Jamie Callum.

From these responses, I think it's safe to say there's a good chance they'll get through
Edit: Sorry if you got two emails: I posted it twice by accident

Just listen to The Moments in Between. Sheer sonic mastery. I almost cried the first time I heard that song.

To write a biography for ProgArchives. Do you think you can do it for the sake of Reign of Kindo ?
(of course, talking to Original Poster Andyman :) )
