Hi all, as the title suggests we are a progressive rock band from Australia, looking for some exposure, where better than a forum dedicated to the best genre of music in the world? Anyway, we are called Celestial Circus, our influences include both modern and classical prog, alternative rock, pop, metal and classical music. Thanks very much, yeah Dream Theater are probably my favourite band, so they are a big influence. Haha yeah singing is not my strong point, but I am working on it. Thanks for the feedback

Liked Maps Of Heaven at over 7 minutes. Introduction was quite relaxing, spacey atmospherics, the guitars are excellent and the keyboards are very dreamy. It feels like Riverside in a sense. Though the vocals are different, echoed and perhaps need remixng as it is a bit thin. I appreciate the complexity and progressiveness of the soundscape created. The spacey lead break is terrific and overall the band sound ambient and symphonic.
Great to hear an Aussie prog band again!

Imperfect Science was quite good - very much a piano driven song with some ambience and obscure thoughtful lyrics. It could have been longer but delivered.
Lyrics are interesting in A Pleasant Sadness - "Market Square, paradise, no escape, no more fear, no reason to stay,"
The musical sections are always well executed, the time sig change where the lead guitar locks in is excellent. There is Dream Theater feel, the vocals are phased through an effects mixer but effective. There are some nice interludes on minimalist piano. There are many mood shifts in this song, and the harmonies in the end section are very good. Very much like Pink Floyd at this stage, a high and a low voice harmonising. Impressed with those guitar hooks too. The drumming is central to the sound. The acoustics augment the sound too.

The Cynic's Epiphany is the last track, beginning with virtuoso piano, very pretty arpeggios and staccato stabs. This sounds very much like a piano solo in the style of Classical music or what Emerson was doing in ELP. It is well played and emotional, angry in places and frenetic scales bursting out with very fast finger work on the ivories. A surprise really as it is a showcase for the piano player, without the clutter of other instruments. -------------
