I have recently bought Caravan's "In the Land of Grey and Pink" and have just relized that I bought the one without the bonus tracks  and without remastering. Should I bother buying the remastered one with the bonus tracks.

As I understand it, "I Dont Know Its Name (Alias The Word)" and "Aristocracy" are brand new tracks and not alternate versions.  How strong are these songs.  I am asking because I have found that other Caravan bonus tracks are nothing more than jazz noodling with no vocals and redundant organ soloing (probably why they did'nt get on the album).  Also, is "Aristocracy" basically the same "Aristocracy" on "Waterloo Lilly" (possibly the later being a tighter version).

Damn... that's probably a little annoying but you're not missing out on much - an early version of a song which found itself on the following album anyway and a few early demos of songs from the album.

As for the quality of your version compared to that of the remaster, I couldn't say as I only have the latter, but if it sounds fine to you then that's that. It's a marvellous album, but I wouldn't recommend shelling out for it twice unless you're a real Caravan obsessive.

GET THE REMASTERED VERSION!!!
Those bonus tracks, I think, are better than anything on the album (excepting 9 feet Underground, of course).  "I Don't Know Its Name" is a long lost Richard Sinclair classic of the highest caliber, as good as Winter Wine, but I prefer it to its more illustrious cousin.  Aristocracy is much better than on Waterloo Lily, much tighter, and less jarring.

I used to have a session from the Beeb in the 70s which was Caravan doing a song which I can't identify - I don't have all their albums. It consisted of the band singing "Who do you think you are?" repeatedly whilst Pye Hastings sang over the top. Can anyone tell me what it is and on which album it was - if any?

Land of Grey and Pink is awesome. Unusually, I prefer side 1 to 9 feet underground.

I am not a HUGE fan of In The Land... but I like it. I think the bonus tracks are on the same level as the original album. When I listen to it, I don't even notice a change!

Title track of "If I Could Do It All Over Again I'd Do It All Over You".

In the circumstances a bad slip. Deram have done an excellent job of remastering the Caravan albums 2 & 3 (i.e. All Over Again and Grey & Pink) - very clean sound and the bonus tracks are unusually good.

In comparison Deram's remaster of 10 Years After's Undead was a major disappointment. The original LP and first CD issue was an edit of a Klooks Kreek live gig, the remaster was the full gig. It is now clear that the editing had removed a lot of weak tracks (i.e. live versions of tunes from their first eponymously titled album of studio-recorded, blues - IMHO their worst, by a mile, album).
