Please post one of your top three FAVOURITE prog albums.

As of late, I can't get enough of Crimson's "Red." Not sure why but I've been listening to it for days and don't want to listen to anything else.

3) "Neu! '75" - Neu!

Art Zoyd - Génération Sans Futur
Gilgamesh - Gilgamesh
Soft Machine - Third
Yes - Tales from Topographic Oceans
Weidorje - Weidorje
Can - Future Days
Maxophone - Maxophone
Area - Caution Radiation Area

It's more than 3, but I couldn't decide. This is a diverse list that basically serves as a PA listening guide through the most prominent genres. Only the first album is weird electronic crap.

Depends on the level of purism employed in the definition of "prog".

Highly purist definition:

In The Court Of The Crimson King

Selling England By The Pound

Non-purist definition:

TNT by Tortoise
De-Loused In Comatorium by The Mars Volta

I'm sorry, but those are the rules of the thread. Also, actually the thread calls for the single top 3 album. That means that after you cut down to 3, I will make you cut down to 1 again.

My three favorite albums of all time:

Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
Small Change - Tom Waits
Final Fantasy 7 OST - Nobuo Uematsu

My favorite prog albums of all time:

Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
Kid A - Radiohead
Aqualung - Jethro Tull

Those aren't lists of 6. It's two lists of three based on the situation. Given the thread, the second list is primary. They aren't revolutionary picks, but that's prog for you.
