There's absolutely nothing prog about An Albatross.

I once had an album of theirs, did not like it, do not think they are linked to prog, honestly.

Too me An Albatross are in the same vein as The Locust and Psyopus with a bit electronic leaning......

This is some... interesting stuff. Mostly just avant mathcore IMO, I'll alert the PMT and see what they say, but I agree with Alan that they're not all that prog but just rather crazy.

Yes, the locust is a good comparison. Also Daughters is in this vein. It is adventurous hardcore/grindcore. but these bands are not really "progressive".

Can the Metal Team take this back for Eval, since they were moved to Avant?

Psyopus and The Locust are already here into math and extreme tech. Time to give another try.

If a re-evaluation is to be carried out, there needs to be released new material by the band in order for it to fly.....and that didn't happen.

They definitely have a shot in Tech/Extreme. I thought their prog credentials had been established from the start--I hear lots of RPI in their song structures and sound, especially the keyboards.

I don't think the one who denied An Albatross already checked the whole album called Blessphemy - hammond organ based extreme music, and very progressive, including a three pieces suite (of course made of 2-3 minutes each part, but it's 'powerviolence' music)  and lot of prog rock influences and references, like the opening theme, In the Court of the Bear King.
