This is not fun, both essentials. I prefer Can as a band but with these two albums I'll go with the Yeti.

I believe this was reference to Rush. I thought that was a good'n. I wish I had these albums so I could try to choose!

After finally hearing Yeti, I can say it's quite a tough choice. Both are excellent overall but Yeti is more consistant, while Can's has better highs (the last three songs) but certainly worse moments (that 18 minute snoozefest).
I'll go for Tago Mago, but really it's closer than I think.

Two of Tago Mago's last three songs are generally considered the worst: Aumgn and Peking O. I kind of love them myself, but not as much as anything on the on side 1 and 2.

"Aumgn" is what made me really fall for Tago Mago -- I love it. Yeti is also excellent, but Tago Mago for me.
------------- Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Don't care about that underlined bit. Those two + Bring Me Coffee Or Tea are blissful experiences, through and through, every moment perfection. Hallwluhwah is either 10 minutes too long or needs some extra tracking to add to the song. Not enough happens for too long for me.

Allright then - I´ll go for Yeti then. wait a minute...erm Both these albums are very important to the Kraut scene in each their own way. Two ways of experimenting, jamming - throwing blueprints of popular music in the bin. I for one can´t choose. Maybe Yeti today - seeing as I heard Soap Shop Rock this morning whilst brushing my teeth.

Yeti......because whenever I listen to Can, and I own several cd's and lp's by them, I get ....annoyed.
Why is that...?

I haven't been able to get into Can very much, though Tago Mago is the only Can album I have been able to get into, and I like quite a bit. I still have to go with Yeti though.
