the streak of albums from 69 to 73, are they sort of proggy, couse they are very experimental and all over the place, I have 4 of them and half of the albumtracks are rock or pub rock but half of it is, proggy music, from psychadelic, jazzrock, art rock, theatrical rock, heavy prog, and generally music full of good instrumentation like melodic bass lines, loose but steady drumming, varied guitar sounds, and an instictive and familiar vocal sound , ( and hammonds, mellotrons and pianos,
Pretties for You, 69 Easy Action, 70 Love it to Death, 71 Killer 71 Schools Out, 72 Billion Dollar Babies, 73 Muscle of Love 73

At least a little. I consider Halo of Flies to be a prog masterpiece by a non-prog band. Some other songs are somewhat proggish as well.

No. They were not progressive rock or prog related IMO. However, they were a fantastic and rather unique rock band!

No they are not prog related. Neither are a bunch of other bands included here. But the voice of the people has spoken.

in the seventies, every band was more or less prog-related as prog sold very well.

I dunno. Some of his stuff had some proggish flavor (e.g. "Black Juju", "Halo Of Flies"), but I think too much of his stuff was simply basic rock and roll.
------------- He looks at this world and wants it all... so he strikes, like Thunderball!

Wouldn't call them prog myself (with the exception of Halo of Flies - which is still a centrepiece of Cooper's live set). But they are a great band, and Alice Cooper's gigs are wonderful to go to - especially since out of all the stars from the 1970s who incorporated a big theatrical element into their performances, he's the only one who's still doing it. David Bowie stopped pretending to be an alien ages ago, Peter Gabriel no longer dresses as a flower, but Alice Cooper still does all the classic scares and tricks you expect from his performances even today. Particularly worth it if you like a bit of stage magic (he still does the infamous hanging trick at the end of his gigs, for example, which is one that the Famous Randi worked up with him).
