''Seven brand new tracks'' and a running time of 65 minutes. That sounds a little bit interesting!

I really hate that death thingy. The Sensual World has some beautifull music so why not exactly?

You can listen to the new single here!  Not sure the review makes sense but there is a bit of Bowie there to be sure ! it is a single remember before you start.

Not as strong a single as King Of The Mountain imo. The bits with Trio Bulgarka are the ones that stand out for me. Its going to be very different from Aerial by the sound of it. Very interesting for sure.

thats a real pity. I love Aerial and would only put Hounds Of Love ahead of it and maybe The Dreaming on a par.

True. The second disc is superior, and I can see how it kind of lacks an edge, but it is a very blissful and atmospheric album. And come on, the last two tracks are powerhouses.

How dare you disparage one of Kate's albums in this adulation thread?  Get him!!!!Angry

I will admit disc one is a little spotty compared to two.

Nice timing for a snow themed album release.  I know what I'll put on if we get some this year.  More likely to be next though.  I'll save the next listen for the hard copy.

I guess 50 phrases for snow wouldn't have been as interesting.  I believe "snow" was the only single word in that song for snow and it wasn't actually a word for snow but the word itself. Tongue

A little bit ironic that it isn't snowing in the UK now as it was the same time last year and could even end up being the warmest November for 350 years if it carries onTongue

I know little of Bush, other than hearing a couple of songs a few times, but decided to listen to this.  So far (haven't heard the entire thing) I quite like it.  And how about that Elton John duet?  EJ hasn't sounded this good in 30 years, if ever!

Oh chill.  Mine isn't due in until today.  I'd be highly surprised to find it stock at any local retailer other than my local b&m which is too far out of the way for a weekday.  Still, it better get here or I'm gonna be all. AngryCensored

Thanks to Amazon pre-orders no doubt, it charted at No.20 in the UK and is available in all leading supermarkets. Ouch

But I'm chill - I just thought of another word for snow.

If one preorders a CD, you need to wait from the release date until it is delivered...and it is usually only about £1 cheaper. With books though they arrive at your door on the release date. This is because thay have them in stock a while before so can send them to coincide with the day of release. I presume it is not so with music.

Just had my first listen. I was prepared to be disappointed but thankfully I'm not. The duet with Elton is wonderfull. The album starts off with something that reminded me a bit of Infant Kiss and keeps that mood going. All rather lovely.

Yeah, after hearing "Wild Man" I didn't expect to be blown away. But the album is really good. I'm not that impressed with the first track, and I do still think "Wild Man" could have been dropped, but the rest of the album is very good. One of the best I've heard this year, and probably my favorite since The Sensual World.

I'm really feeling for you! But I admire your patience, fraught as it maybe. If it all gets to much, you can download it from iTunes. I did and now I am aiming to go out and buy the "hard copy" as soon as possible. Hope the album is in the very next mail Smile

The title track is a little silly but I'm not complaining.  I am a bit overwhelmed by the amount of good new music that came out this year.  I'm glad Kate didn't put it off for another year.  I will resist the temptation to get too fan boy about it.  It's certainly a nice album.

It's kind of funny.  Finnforest is on the record as being a big fan of her first albums which I am not enthusiastic about, so I guess that's a fair gauge.  It's another fine album but can't match the beautiful weirdness of The Dreaming.  I'm more partial to her later stuff.

Nice little interview . I didn't know she was a big fan of Steely Dan and of the albums Aja and Gaucho especially. She also loves Billie Holiday. Jamie didn't bother asking her about live performing (well we know the answer anyway).

It was snowing in Colorado, the day it arrived from Amazon. It is a grower, play it a little initially as the moods unfold. " Snowed In at Wheeler Street" just gets better and better.....goosebumps after listening to Dean's Radio 2 interview link. I am convinced she is a genius and madrigal witch!Hug her art evolves in such a beautiful direction.
