Cool stuff! It reminds me of some of the heavier neo-prog bands, such as Sylvan and Disperse, so I'll alert that team.

Anyway, guess Olav knows, they've been REJECTED in Crossover Team already and XO Team have considered they're not progressive?  Confused

Sometimes the "Move" vote gets forgotten in favour of the plain "No".

Makes sense. Approve

Anyway, I've checked their MySpace samples all and ... felt they're a good outfit, tinged with Neo-symphonic spice, but less progressive for Neo. (Long songs cannot always make them progressive).

Crossover is another place for them but they've been rejected there ... hmm. Ouch

PA will still be missing a love device then. Bring em back when they have something new out for a second try.

Any thoughts on this?

I've had a quick look at some old threads. It seems the band was rejected by Crossover despite solid support from other senior collabs. As far as I'm aware the Crossover Team's evaluation was based on the ''Dreamland'' and ''Numaterial'' albums. I guess you're asking for them to be re-evaluated on the basis of their live DVD?
I'll look into it, please give me a day or so. Thanks.

Wow, pretty conclusive with three ''no'' votes and one abstention:

Prog Rock Mag, Classic Rock Mag, Sea of Tranquility... all describe these guys as a prog band. Apparently the Silesian Night 11.11.11. DVD includes 6 new songs (including Say No above) from a forthcoming album. According to Wiki: The band's style has been further modified in the direction of progressive rock (on the DVD), with particular reference to Pink Floyd.

One problem here is that there is only one original song from the DVD available on YouTube, so even if Crossover were prepared to have another look at this band they don't have much to go on. Might have to wait for that new album...

I saw them reviewed on Babyblaue (a huge well of prog and prog-related goodies if you understand german), so they certainly have a place on PA.

This is how they label their music : "Die Polen sehen sich in der Tradition des Classic Rock der 70er Jahre, spielen aber auch mit Einflüssen des Progressive Rock."

-> prog-related

Perhaps on down the road. Again, thanks for taking a look.

I've gotten hold of a copy the DVD and enjoyed it tremendously. No problem for me voting 'yes' for these guys in Crossover based on the 74 minutes of music on this fine video recording. I've ripped the audio to a single mp3 file which is in the process of being made available for the rest of the team to listen to as I write. No promises of course - this band was quite comprehensively previously rejected by the other members of the team, so it will need unanimous approval this time round based on the new material we have here - but they will give it due consideration, I know...and we'll see what happens. Embarrassed

No worries Chris - I hate to see a good band fall beside the wayside, and this is a fine DVD indeed. Thumbs Up
