No not that Rodeo, not the Copeland one.

It's rare that I get to share something I'm perty sure you all here haven't heard before, 'ceptin' if ya been drinking in a redneck bar back 'round 1983.  There is some pretty good pickin' here.

Remove any young children from the room prior to listening,

Who knew, that allemande stuff?  Remarkably sophisticated.

The band is Showdown, a local Alberta talent from years back.
Charles Holley - Electric Lead and Acoustic Guitars, 5 String Banjo, Bass and Vocals
Garry Lee Berthold - Electric Fiddle, Bass, Rhythm Guitars and Vocals
Paul McLellan - Drums Percussion and Vocals
Kelly LaRocque - Electric Lead and Acoustic Guitars, Harmonica, 5 String Banjo and Vocals

Released in 1980 by Edmonton Alberta based Damon Records.
(Don't know if it exists anymore)

"The Rodeo Song" may not have been suitable for commercial airplay yet Country & Western radio station CFCW, (Which used to be located in Camrose Alberta then later relocated to Edmonton then probably relocated back to Camrose again, I don't know) Played a censored version.

Kelly LaRoque may still be active and touring.

Three song video.

Thank you sir for the information. Back in my misspent youth I was in a darts league, and we occasionally played down at a now defunct bar here south of Seattle. We happened to drive by it (the building) the other night after having had Thai food with my daughter (it was her birthday). I immediately started singing this song, it apparently having embedded itself in the last remaining brain cell I have from that era. That song was on the jukebox constantly in that bar. It didn't take long to find it on these interwebs.
