KNIGHT AREA STREAMING NEW SONG

NEW ALBUM "NINE PATHS" AVAILABLE OCTOBER 25th ON THE LASER'S EDGE

"Nine Paths" is the fourth album from respected Dutch band KNIGHT AREA. They have garnered attention around the world, performing in North America multiple times as well as tours throughout Europe.

KNIGHT AREA are streaming their new track "Summerland" at ProgArchives.  http://www.progarchives.com/mp3.asp?id=5490" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/mp3.asp?id=5490  .

Guitarist Mark Vermule commented on "Summerland":

"Summerland is the first track of the new album we recorded. We were full of energy and ready to record, and you can hear it. We played it live on several occasions and received good feedback on this song. The drums, bass guitar and guitar create this wall, and Mark really uses that energy in his vocals. Still, it's KNIGHT AREA with some good melodies; some parts where we take a step back, and at the end kick in with this climax guitar solo. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do."

KNIGHT AREA was founded in 2004 after Gerben Klazinga released the first KNIGHT AREA album: "The Sun Also Rises". This album was a project of Gerben, who wrote all the music, and many musicians participated in the recording of the album. The album was a worldwide success and a band was formed to play live. A new album was released in 2007 "Under a New Sign" after the band successfully played the European and American stages.

Not content to simply stick to a musical formula, KNIGHT AREA will surprise their fan base with Nine Paths. While remaining firmly faithful to the symphonic rock tradition, the band has gone one step further and added a harder edge to their sound. This transformation comes courtesy of noted producer NEIL KERNON (CANNIBAL CORPSE, QUEENSRYCHE, NILE) who's mix has provided a more contemporary approach to progressive rock.

The track "Please Come Home" features a guest vocal appearance by CHARLOTTE WESSELS (DELAIN). The music of "Nine Paths" is perfectly complemented by the fantasy art of DENNIS SIBEIJN at Damn Engine.
