..... announced on the same day as it was announced that 94 % of the top 20 musicians are aged 40 and above. In Black Sabbath, all members have free bus passes and statuary nursing/home help offers from their local councils. That says everything about the music business now. But rock on, guys.

YES!!!! I saw them live at the Roskilde Festival in 1998, though with Appice on drums, but it was phenomenal! 85.000 people screaming along to Ironman. One of the best concert experiences I´ve had in my life.

Just one more "event" from a has-been's has been act to take attention from lesser known bands from gaining some notoriety.

I bet that their twitter account had been hacked and that is another joke.
Frankly, I can't even think of the original line-up touring and recording again: after seeing the Osbournes' tricks, I would even prefer Iommi, Butler and their drummer (Ward again? really???) touring with Tony Martin!

As much as they were an important part of my yoof, I tend to think the same.

I doubt anyone cares much about the new album... it seems like they main reason for this would be the concerts, and I'll definitely see them if they come close to me

Exactly.....for me, it is about seeing some of these legendary musicians live.......10yrs from now I can still listen to the album, but not the group live.

That's nice (Sharon makes sure Ozzie keeps raking in the $$$ More exciting news was reading Peter Gabriel would get back together with Genesis "if the project was right it could happen." Keeping hope alive.

I've seen the exact same announcement 11 years ago or so. Don't remember seeing that album though.

^It was actually pretty good - their most experimental to date. It was said that only a small percentage of tiny dogs could actually listen to it, making it fly completely over our human heads. Sabbath Doggy Sabbath..
And yep, some mental fans I gather(?) have a way of sneaking these infos out once in a while, and quite often you find that the band aren´t even aware of it themselves It happened a little while back, where Iommi had to go on record and say that it was purely rumors and had absolutely nothing to do with the truth. Let´s hope this one is for real - being from their website and all

Well, if Henry Rollings is involved then it must be legit.
But seriously, cool stuff. Let’s just hope the new album is better than Never Say Die and Technical Ecstasy.

It's a shame that they didn't record something after 1997 reunion. The live stuff was magnificent and the two new numbers were at least promising. And by the way Ozzy was still delivering his usuall stuff. Nowadays he resembles Michael Jackson rather than Prince of Darkness. Not to mention his vocal abilities.
None the less I'll give them a chance if circumstances arise.

The new Sabbath album, 13, will be released sometime in June. Ward is out, Brad Wilk from Rage Against The Machine will drum on the album.

Heard a track the other day on Planet Rock radio. Sounds great and has the classic Sabbath sound.

Outstanding! It seemed like ages since anything had been mentioned about it, I was kind of beginning to wonder if it was still going to happen. This is promising news!

As a matter of interest, does anybody know why Appice is not drumming on this?

It's simply Sharon. But Brad Wilk is an excellent drummer.
