Found a very obscure outfit from Bolivia.
They've released (maybe) only one album titled "El Inca" in 1973, quite leaning toward Uriah Heep hehe.

Hm... toughie, TBH. I hear a Heavy Prog edge, but I'm not sure they're full blown HP. With the more gentle songs, I think Symphonic or Eclectic might be a better fit. I'll drop a note in Eclectic, just because I think there's more to the music than the gentle sympho-hard rock prog stuff.

Wara would better suit for Folk IMHO, only their first album might be considered heavy prog, they moved to a much folkier sound after El Inca:

These are from Maya ('One' in aimara language, most of their following albums would be named this way), their second album.

And this one from Paya ('Two' in aimara) - check it out, it's a great song:

They have a large discography, according to Wikipedia:

Listeneing to that first track you posted Lima.  Excellent Folk Prog/ ethnic Prog.

You already listed the albums, but looking at rateyourmusic, I'm surprised how low a rating the Maya album has since that is a great track.

I don't consider it a surprise, I have been to bolivia last month, and it came a time when listening to bolivian folk music on the radio (where they didn't play Wara's music, of course) for more than fifteen consecutive minutes could become incredibly annoying Tongue

It's quite fresh to me since I haven't listened to much Bolivian folk music (though a  fair amount of similar music), so it wouldn't try my patience so quickly....  Or actually, I now realize, it would.

Are they still under consideration somewhere ? Bolivia lists just one Prog band on PA, it would be shame to miss potential second candidate (if it's Prog) just by overlooking it :-)

Under eval in Eclectic. The situation as of 21st Dec 2012 was: two votes 'yes', two votes 'Prog Related' - one more vote needed for a conclusion. Thumbs Up
