Transcending Mortality were one of the pioneering Australian bands tackling Progressive Metal. Their sound is guitar heavy conjuring to mind the experiences of Fates Warning, Conception and Crimson Glory. Their first release The Last Horizon in 2006 was an enjoyable release with some kinks that needed ironing out and very much ventured into a power metal territory compositionally and melodically. Highly recommended for an insight into the Australian scene They recorded and released an EP in 2008 called The Mirror's Eye which was 2 songs of far deeper maturity.
