Hi all :)'Die Cast' is basically a bedroom-project (I'd like to say studio-project but that would be bluff  ) between 2 brothers from Malta (Europe). We draw many of our influences from the classics, ie: Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Jehtro Tull, Rush, Yes etc etc... but we also like other not-so-proggy artists such as RHCP and John Frusciante, Victor Wooten, Billy Sheehan, Micheal Hedges and even funkier stuff.After 4 years of alternating between active and non-active periods, endless line-up changes and writing material purely for the rush we get out of it, we settled as 2 brothers with a non-rigid aim: that of trying to combine aspects from the well-planned deep themes present in rock and metal music and the un-structured spontaneity characteristic of funk and more relaxed styles. | Oh, forgot to mention, the drums tracks are all electronic and the recordings all all home-made... I guess many of you guys already know haha >.< |
