Has there been some clearing out of not quite proggy enough stuff from this site, or am I finally losing it? I am sure Clannad used to be listed on PA. I remember (despite being a fan myself) being surprised that they were deemd to be prog. Anyway, they dont seem to be listed now. Have they been removed or did I dream that they were here at all?

It was all a dream - Clannad were never here.

no reason to think so, but for some reason i was wondering if you might have been mixing up Clannad with Klaatu.

Anyway, I used to listen to a  fair amount of Clannad (as well as Enya), although I think the only album I ever purchased by Clannad was Legend for Robin.., Robin..., the hooded man.... I just loved that song.  Takes me back, it does.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

They had a huge influence on IONA (nevertheless Joanne Hogg sang with Maire Brennan and Margaret Becker on a record called 'New Irish Hymns').
I love both their celtic pop stuff (great work on vocals and melodies) and their ambient one (OST's for 'angel and the soldier boy', 'Altantic realm') (I still need to discover their earlier traditional stuff though).

Of their earlier albums Dúlaman (1976) is a great one.
