I just realised that they are sort of similar in some aspects, their music is similar , and are borrowing from similar musical inspiration and sources, (mainly Prince which they both share), both are born between 1963 and 1964 (Seal 63 and Kravitz 64). Seal sticks mainly to bass and guitar, while Lenny is a multiminstrumentalist, and plays, guitar, bass guitar, drums, harmonica, keyboards, percussion, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sitar" rel="nofollow - sitar , piano, synthesizer. both also have similar voices Seal more hoarce and textureus while Lenny more rocking and bluesy.
i have personaly the lowest rated Kravitz album Baptisme (though the title track is really good) and a greatest hits album, i like the hit record more. and IMO I have Seals album Seal II which is very highly rated, and is produced by Trevor Horn (so it is a bit prog related ), which album is rated very high on most music sites. and i rite it higher then Lennys album Baptisme.

Lennny Kravitz. I've never really cared for Seal, although I am probably just jealous of who his ex-wife is.

I can't stand Lenny Kravitz. I like most of the Seal songs I've heard, though.

I love Lenny Kravitz' first two solo albums, I think they're terrific. I lost interest from the third album on. From Seal I only heard the hits, from which I only love Crazy and Killer, the latter in the Adamski version. It's interesting that Trevor Horn produced the first 4 Seal albums. From what I heard I choose Kravitz.

Lenny Kravitz. His Greatest Hits album was the first rock record I ever got into. From there I got all his albums that came out at that point, and even got "Lenny" when it came out. Lost interest after that, but every now and then I throw on some of his tunes. Always thought he was a good rock singer, good songs, good solos, etc.

Lenny! I really like everything up through 5. I saw Lenny way, way back when he toured in support of Mama Said...he and his band crushed some serious grooves! His recent output doesn't seem to have the verve of the songs on his first few albums, but his talent and penchant for 70s recording techniques is undeniable. (I have not heard It Is Time For A Love Revolution.)

I don't see why you think the music of these two are similar. To me they are totally different. Seal's music is basically pop, Lenny's is rock/funk. Seal also has not much to offer: he only had a few hits back in the 80s. Lenny at least kept it up and has been releasing something new and different every few years.

Kravitz is one of those "artists" (*low-talent hack*) I really can't stand, whereas I think Seal is a brilliant pop composer

I like both, but I lean more towards Lenny. I just like a few Seal songs, while Kratitz, I think is a genius.
