New Prog band. I'm not sure about their category, it can be a lot of genres, including my own team - Crossover.

here are most of tracks from the album. They are in live performance only, so it will sound a bit different, but Prog Rock credentials should be there to be heard.

Better links, that's true. I just did a quick google search and couldn't find bandcamp link on first page (so I thought they don't have one). My bad

A strange trend, infocat, but it seems to me that if a band chose to put a country/place name into their bandname, they usually won't be from around there.

London Underground from ITALY
Facing New York from the other coast of US
Alabama 3 from London

though band Boston is from Boston
this folk/rock band America is from USA, but the members grew up in UK, so it's half-half :-D

there are many more cases of this. Let's make a special thread about it. Which bands use placename (and are from that place) and which bands are not.

Absolutely stunning find, Marty! Clap To me this is a bit too complex for Crossover, but not quite complex enough for Symphonic. I'd let Damo and his men have the first stab at it, and see what they make of it all...but yeah, it could be slotted into any of these three subs really and not be out of place. 2013 is already looking as though it's going to be another great year for prog! Approve

...and another year when we will have a big backlog of albums we weren't able to listen. Exactly as we like it.

Hey Martin! These guys may not be in Scotland but check some of their names... Dan MacDonald, Ornan McLean, John Whyte... Wink

Edit: Anyway, they must be a shoe-in for the site and I agree with David that Neo should have first pop at these boys. The band's website states that they draw heavily on prog from the late-seventies and early-eighties, and the two long tracks Starboard and Errol McSquisitor have a strong Neo flavour. Will alert the team.

Next thing you'll be telling me is that they're not elephants, either!

(I agree with neo for the sub-genre, fwiw.)

*smirk*

Listening to them now, picturing them as elephants, enjoying both the music and the visual.
