Hello everyone, I'd like to introduce you to a brand new band, hailing from Poland - Sea Vine. It's a progressive act inspired by SBB or King Crimson, and such bands like Weather Report or Mahavishnu Orchestra. We are using only 70' analogue equipment (Moog, Hohner Stringmachine, Fender Piano etc.), therefore sound is a bit different from what you may hear nowadays:)
Here is bandcamp site - http://seavine.bandcamp.com/
Also, check out our Facebook fanpage - https://www.facebook.com/seavine
Enjoy!

Hej, cześć! Smile

I listened again this morning. Very nice mellow, keyboard-driven album with jazzy female vocals. I can hear SBB influence. I like it! Thumbs Up

Are You signed?

BTW, You may call me Bartek - that's my real name. Smile

I'm liking this. Really skillful and interesting keyboard playing here. No wonder you're keyboards sound so interesting--you're using stuff from the '70s. I really don't think I have a "good old days" type of attitude, but I just don't often find that newer keyboards make particularly interesting sounds. You can use those older keyboards for decades and still create unique sounds, it seems. Maybe it's because you need to be more hands-on with the equipment. I don't know.
I see you're from Gdańsk. I visited there once and I thought it was a beautiful place. I see you played almost all the instruments on this album, other than the 5th track--does this drummer perform with you live?

Thanks! Sorry, at the moment our album is unavailable - the cost of self-releasing is just too high. However, I hope that at the moment of release the album will have extra 2-3 tracks.
There is a possibility to get our promo CD through our Facebook page since we have launched some kind of a contest.
There will be drummer for live performance, although not the one from track 5.

500 CDs in digipack from Printmasta in Poland will set you back 418 Euros plus shipping. If you have a large enough fanbase it might be worth doing a kickstarter campaign for that. 15 Euro backing plan and they get a free CD and you'll need 40 backers to finance it. Unless there are additional costs I'm unaware of, obviously.

At this point we are rather trying promote our music - sending it to reviewers etc. Since we have started just few weeks ago and first gigs will take place as late as October we don't have such publicity yet. Anyway, thanks for contact to Printmasta - it's by far cheapest offer for releasing CD. Have you ever printed anything with them, can you recommend this company?

No, I'm not into that kind of business myself, merely a reviewer I'm afraid. I just hit Google and tried to locate CD pressing plants in Poland, as I assumed they would be more cost effective than the established international ones. And checked for prices from the first often that had a decently professional looking web page.

I like the music too! Glad you have been added to Neo prog and that made more sense than Symphonic. Listening to this - such a dreamy ambient melancholy soundscape... there ya go. The beginning of a review already
