Arthur Brown for me! Such a unique, one of a kind album that is!! The Ozrics, Sensations' Fix, Jade Warrior and The Floyds are next.

Not really a big fan of instrumental prog but Jurassic Shift get's my vote. I was at a show last month and the sound guy put this on between bands...I'd forgotten how great it is. Atom Heart Mother definitely locks up 2nd place...Fat Old Sun is one of my fave Floyd tunes

I really like a lot of these. Even for the bands here which I wouldn't list among my favorites, you seemed to have found my favorite individual album for each of these. I mean, Atom Heart Mother's my vote (easy choice - one of my top 10 albums all time, any genre), but I'd happily recommend most any album on this list.

This poll is based on artists in the 'Psychedelic/Space Rock' sub on PA. Basically, I wanted ten albums from the same sub that sounded very different from each other (like I did in other polls).

I'd have to go with Ocean.

Funny pick - 'Down To Earth' by Nektar. It's not a bad album, though the music on that one is somewhat 'down to Earth' Can't see it getting any votes.....
Kingdom Come's 'Journey' album probably wins me over on this poll, though many of the albums included on this list are fantastic.

Eloy. That album captured and combined the sounds of Meddle-era Floyd and Animals-era Floyd better than anything else I've heard, and still managed to infuse enough of Eloy's own unique footprint to avoid sounding like a knockoff tribute band.
Or something.

Jade Warrior's Floating World all the way. At turns ambient and beautiful, in others jazzy, in yet more world-beat, and in yet others absolute madness (you haven't heard anything until you've heard Monkey Chant), all in two extended suites.

I'm a big Jade Warrior fan, but for some reason that album fails to fully grab me, it's my least favorite album by them. Their latest album Now has grown on me enormously and IMO is their best album.

Amazing list! There's a lot of great albums in there but I can't deny the genius of Atom Heart Mother so here it is.

Tough list. It was a hard choice between Jade Warrior and Eloy for top spot. Went with Eloy. Almost all the groups here are good but they all have albums i prefer over the ones listed here. My top 6:
Eloy Jade Warrior Sensations Fix Ozric Tentacles Hawkwind Floyd
------------- PROGMATIC

Hard choice.....and like Progmatic said those are not necessarily their best nor my favorite ones.....but I flipped a coin and Atom heart Mother won.

To be fair, I think Atom Heart Mother is one of the best albums ever, but seeing this poll, it's fair to say it doesn't need any help from me. I voted for Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come. That Journey is just so frigging good. Love that corny kitschy drum machine. Sounds like those old organs with the large buttons, which would give you some wonderfully snuffling rumba beats, salsa, waltz and other such ballroom rhythms.

I felt like that for a long time as well. Now I've just given up on them.

.....the short version - a comedy skit show has an old man character (Arthur, played by Glen Robbins) who's always wrapping up his segment by going over to his organ a pressing a button and out comes a Bossa-Nova or Samba rhythm.....

 Nice little outro
Just for the record, outside of Journey, I've never ever come across a successful usage of this device. Seriously. I'm not quite sure how it works for that album, but it does - in spades!
