Yeah, not the cleverest of polls, and one might complain that I didn't choose a later album by TD to go up against Yatha Sidhra to keep the years more, well, contemporaneous, but both of these albums I have really loved.

Going with Yatha Sidhra, but I do think both are great.

Just listened to 'A Meditation Mass' the other day and it's a 5* album for me. I haven't spun my LP of EM for years. I do like it but not as much a AMM. Yatha gets my vote here.

Electronic Meditation is neither electronic nor good for meditation. I consider that album the same way some Genesis fans consider their debut: the second album is the 'real' debut. Voted YS.

Me too Tom. Loooove that album and yes it's definitely also a genuine masterpiece according to me. Electronic Meditation is a record that only recently started making sense to me. Always had a thing for the opening cut, but now it seems I am finding everything on it interesting. Might even turn out as a real love affairBig smile
But yeah I voted for the Psych shepherds from space. How I could I not.

A Meditation Mass is gorgeous. Electronic Meditation never really clicked with me, been a good decade since the last hearing.

Gotta go with Tangerine Dream here. Schulze on the drum kit and Jimmy Jackson(Embryo, Amon Duul II) on organ and Froese doing his guitar thing all works for me. Both are great though.

I need to listen to AMM first, but I quite enjoy TD's debut.

I didn't think Jimmy Jackson was on this album ?? No mention of him in the g/f of my LP......just Froese, Schulze and Schnitzler.

I've always considered EM mainly only interesting to hear what Schulze and Schnitzler were doing before they went solo. IMO Schulze, Schnitzler and Froese did much more interesting music (both solo and as bandmembers) after Electronic Meditation was recorded.

Voted for 'Yatha Sidhra - A Meditation Mass'as my fave TD albums come a little later in their vast discography which I am still added to 40 years after my first purchase by them.

This poll caused my first listen to AMM this morning.  Considering I liked it very much, and EM has never been a favorite, I vote AMM.  Now where can I buy this guy?
