Both are kind of weird especially "the Devil's Triangle."

I'm guessing these three people who voted never heard the second King Crimson album. :)

Love both but Moonchild's great. The first part is classic and the jam is really inspired.

KC's debut has a strange following here.

I was always quite disappointed by Devil's Triangle, especially given the piece it's based on, their adaptation doesn't do it justice, and it does meander quite aimlessly. So does Moonchild, but it in a more satisfactory way. Moonchild.

The first side of ITWOP in particular is quite underrated here though.

What I get from it is that you are probably implying I'm not "Prog" enough for not liking them.

Devil's Triangle, if only because Fripp was sued by the estate of Gustav Holst for blatantly ripping off the theme from "Mars!"

Neither is my favorite KC song at all.

I would have to say..........'The Devil's Triangle' - mellotron madness, tritones, marching rhythm - doomy !! Excellent piece which knocked me out the first time I heard it back in '88. Love 'Moonchild' too but not as much.

Triangle, though I'm not crazy about either.

Devil's Triangle borrows from Mars if I'm not mistaken, which gets it some points off.  Even still, Moonchild is a better song.

Both are pretty inconsistent, but I think Devil's is ultimately more engaging.

It's probably been said a couple of times, but I'd liked to have seen Providence from Red on here. I prefer it to these.

Moonchild for me Smile

This is precisely why I voted for Moonchild.

Fripp was sued but ELP never were? That's odd.

Anyway, I apologize for not having "I don't like either" as an option.

I like the first part of Moonchild but then it gets a bit noodly for me. I have to think about this. Wink

Moonchild for me. Mainly for the beginning of the song, were it is still a proper song. The improv part would be good if it were only 2 or 3 min long, but that much is just needless for me. The Mars bit on Devil's Triangle is nice, but I much prefer the version of Mars from the live albums of concerts with the original line-up.

Perhaps the only "positive" poll Moonchild will ever win!
