Got to go with my own: USA. RTF, Weather Report, Mahavishnu Orchestra (which were actually multi-national). Let's add Pat Metheny, Al Di Meola, Herbie Hancock, Santana, Miles, and Bill Frisell.

This poll is about bands not solo artists. Mahavishnu was founded in New York City, that's why it was mentioned under USASmile

When it comes to jazz, definitely USA, even if it is jazz fusion we're talking about.

That said though, there are still some great fusion bands from other nations.

I find the current Norwegian fusion and jazz-related prog "scene" with bands like Jaga, Shining, Grand General etc. very exciting, so it'll have to be Scandinavian Block for me.

Well I don't really think of Zeuhl or Canterbury as Fusion though clearly they both have heavy jazz and rock influences.

As you've included them I'll vote accodingly

France > British > USA > Scandinavian
