3 stars Somewhere In London captures, as the title implies, the London stop of the Somewhere Else tour. Somewhere Else was a solidly produced but unmemorable release, but Marillion do a good job of bringing out the best in that album's material as well as the usual smattering of classics from their past. Plus one of the encores is the epic Ocean Cloud, which I kind of think of as H-era Marillion's answer to Grendel - an epic that'd take up a whole side of vinyl back in the day on which they let their prog instincts run wild and which is a gem live. There aren't too many live performances of that one, so its presence makes Somewhere In London worth considering even if you already have a substantial collection of live Marillion treats - but only if you think it's worth listening to a bunch of Somewhere Else tracks in the same setlist.
