HAPPY SONGS FOR HAPPY PEOPLE

I can understand why this album is so adored. The songs became more focused and short, less spacy and more predictable, but they are still MOGWAI ones - the guys play their Post-Rock blalncing between GYBEian utter darkness and SIGUR ROSy dazzling sunshine. Crossing melodies and tunes, wonderful rhythm-section and magic guitars, cellos and pianos...More than just enjoyable mixture of melancholic and joyful moments which fit together very well. I'm wholeheartely recommend this album by MOGWAI - if it didn't bring back my faith into Post-Rock, at least it has brought me hours of excitement and relaxing at the same time, hours of enjoyment and satisfaction. Recommended !!!
