"From The Side Of Man And Womankind" is based on a repetitive, ritual drum pulsation, giving the rhythm for long, monotonous, fuzzy violin drones (played by Tony Conrad); the atmosphere is wonderfully noisy, extreme and transcendent. "From The Side Of The Machines" takes back the same schema of composition but within a more colourful, dynamic flame, the result is completely "physical", throwing the listener into a deep "visceral" meditation.
