BLOW BY BLOW

The high water mark for guitar master Jeff Beck. This album finds Jeff in jazz fusion territory with an impressive array of expert help in musicians Max Middleton on keys and Richard Bailey on drums and producer George Martin. Stevie Wonder also makes an uncredited appearance. Beck can make his gate sing like no others can as he covers the vocal lines of the Beatles 'She's A Woman'. Scatterbrain and Air Blower are songs were he and the band really kick it into high gear. George Martin adds very tasteful strings to Scatterbrain and the album closer. Everyone gets a chance to shine and this album shows why his guitar playing is full of emotion and power but never indulgence. If you like jazz rock fusion, this album is a must have.
