3 stars Stepping aside from recreated heaviness of last 3 MDB releases, this one is more rooted in doom metal and more melodic rock. There is less progressivism and epics but still plenty of moments to discover upon repeated listens. There are hardly any growling sections until you arrive at the last song which has a couple of blasts and wild speed which is regarded more as a just than a serious decision that enriches the song.

"To remain tombless" has touches of black/post-metal/post-rock guitars and progressive drumming included. "L'amour detruit" is a classic doom metal MDB song with a distinct melody, whereas "I cannot be followed" has a funeral doom- metal speed. "And I walk with them" has an atmospheric organ and "One of beauty's daughters" uses mellotron, which is very interesting in a doom metal genre. "Deeper down" has very deep doom metal riffs and interestingly growling, too.

The last song on the album is also the most epic one with parts of various speed until the furious end. 3.5 stars.
