This is a well-known track from the 'Lightbulb Sun' record, as well as two B-Sides I first heard on the 'Recordings' compilation. While I have never been a big fan of the title track here (the version on 'Deadwing' is a much warmer improvement,) the two other tracks featured here make up for it, each giving a listening experience that makes one wonder why they were left off of a legitimate studio album.

'Shesmovedon' is a hook-based track that revolves around a memorable guitar riff and stunning-as-ever harmonized vocals of main man Steven Wilson. While being a good song by all standards, there is a much better version to be heard on 'Deadwing,' which robs this particular version of most of it's appeal.

The other two tracks are of more interest to me. 'Cure For Optimism' is a slow, and (as one might anticipate) melancholic track that manages to thrive almost solely on the strength of it's vocal work, acoustic warmth and a very ethereal piano ambience. 'Untitled' on the other hand, is a loose jam that manages to be incredibly enjoyable for it's jazzy and psychedelic overtones. Some might deem the track to go nowhere, but it's all about the journey, that makes this such a great track to behold.

An interesting choice of B-Sides that compliments the main single. None of these are among my favourite Porcupine Tree moments, but things are still very enjoyable here for a fan. However, if a copy of 'Recordings' is within your reach, this single becomes redundant.
