3 stars I have to admit that I find what Antonio Bartoccetti is doing in Jacula and Antonius Rex quite difficult to describe and then translate into reviews. I got this album as a promo CD long time ago and that means I have to review it. I should have reviewed this album many months ago, in fact.

This is Jacula's comeback album and their third album since 1969. A father and son album it is too with the son doing the tangents. On this album Antonio's blues guitars sometimes floats over some house rhythms laid down by Florian Gormann on drums and his son Rexanthony on keyboards and samples. Then we also finds some ambient pianos with female spoken words from Blacklady floating over it. The rest is mostly orchestral ambient soundscapes and some disturbing female screams.

The music here is pretty good. The orchestral soundscapes laid down by Rexanthony is very good. Overall, this is a good album from a genre I do not find particular interesting. But I like this album.
