4 stars This is a mighty slab of "heavy prog math rock". Drums and two basses puts You in mind to compare the outfit with RUINS, but that is not quite so. The compsitions of MoRkObOt are much more riff and groove driven and in a somewhat more fixed pattern. It is loud and fast and furious. If I should compare then to some other bands it would be ULTRALYD, NOXAGT, ZU or DYSRYTHMIA.

The two basses are playing both against each other and sometimes grooving the same lines with the drums churning away, holding the whole thing together. It is a loud and dark soundscape but not a desperate and inaccessible one. A spin or two reveals good optimistic hooks and grooves. Mind You, I'm probably more accustomed to such music than the average ProgArchives user so I would expect that if Genesis/Yes/Pink Floyd are Your cup of tea this might be a bit challenging.

But I would encourage You to try this brew of rythms with a distinct hard edge. After a couple of spins, the album opens up for all to hear the exciting music.

This is no doubt a 4 star album.
