Sorrow and Tears Laid in Earth consist of Melodic Doom Metal with gloomy riffs and the ethereal lead vocals of Kari Rueslåtten. The band has influenced many modern Doom Metal bands, and is also considered an early pioneer of the Gothic Metal scene.
