4 stars Frank goes fusion again.

For Calvin (and his next two hitchhikers) Starts off very good, with an atmospheric and also very melodic opening with the fusion sound (all trumpets in place) and great vocals, after which a trumpet only part of dissonant noise follows, and the track doesn´t get better. 2 stars

The grand Wazoo. Ok, this for onis faster, sounds melodic and fresh. The horns play really tight and on the spot. The whole band plays pefectly on this one, and Tony Duran plays some fabulous slide, after which nice solo parts for the horn section follow. But as soon as the trumpet solo gets beyond the two minuts mark it gets boring and tedious. Plus, there´s nothing really happening onwards as well. 3 stars

Cletus Awreetus-Awrightus A relaxed track. Almost without guitar and fully instrumental. Great saxophone and piano playing on this one, as well as a fine melody and atmosphere to it. 5 stars

Eat the question Slowe, more working with the mood. The horns are more subdued on this one, and Zappa finally plays some perfect guitar. Fabulous drumming here, too, from Aynsley Dunbar. The melody on this one is very good as well. 5 stars

Blessed rellief Even more relaxed. &Also a sweet melody. Almost meditative, very subtle, also in instrumentation, including all the solos as well. 5 stars

Overall rating: 4 STARS

EXCELLENT ADDITION TO ANY PROG MUSIC COLLECTION.
