Pica Fierce biography
PICA FIERCE formed in 1999 in Norway consisting of Oystein Haltbakk (vocals, guitar), Kjetil Dyrnes (guitar), Hallgeir Kjongo (bass) and Eirik Roksvag (drums).

PICA FIERCE released several demos "Urbania" in 2001, "A Spiral of Violence" in 2002, and "Reptile" in 2004. In 2007, they self released their debut album "Pica Fierce."

In 2008, they won the Norwegian Wacken Metal Battle and appeared at the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany.

PICA FIERCE split in February of 2009.

PICA FIERCE is a technical thrash band featuring shredding rhythms, intricate drumming patterns, and is fairly experimental. They combine many metal genres black, death, doom, heavy, and thrash using choirs, screaming and melodic vocals, distorted and disharmonic melodies, and excellent guitar solos. PICA FIERCE should be welcome addition to fans of bands like SADIST, SOLEFALD, VIRGIN BLACK, and SLAYER. They were approved by the Prog Metal Team and are highly recommended.
