4 stars In contrast to The Visitor the drums sound great on this album, a heavier offering with more shorter self contained peices rather than a theme or concept (not one that i can spot anyway) with Moviedrome being the centrepiece. As with The Visitor the guitar playing is trancendental and is by far the highlight, Clive Nolan is, well, Clive Nolan and the vocalist (another different one again) has a very similar style to all Arena's vocalists, histrionic and slightly pompous but is probabaly the best in my opinion. For any purists, I didn't really want to like Arena due to it being a very latter style of 'Neo' but this album (and most of their stuff) is incredibly convincing composition wise and gives that great feeling first felt when hearing the original pioneers for the first time. These and IQ are probably the leaders using the old style prog and making it fresh and interesting.
