Forget 'The Wall'. 'Animals' was Pink Floyd's (and Roger Waters') most scathing political and social commentary album - not to mention some of their best compositions. Overall it is my favorite Pink Floyd album and certainly stands as an equal to DSOTM and WYWH.

Gilmour's work on this album is arguably his best ever. Just check out the 2nd guitar solo in "Dogs" - absolutely brilliant stuff, edgy, angry, moody and just plain beautiful.
