1 stars The problem with citizen Cain's music is that despite the fact that they are accomplished musicians capable of great complexity and sophistication, the compositions themselved are poorly structured and lead nowhere melodically. They imitate the Genesis sound well, down to the minutest vocal inflections of Phil Collins, but melodically and harmonically they fall very short of the mark. The tracks are long, but there is no development - they are just going around in circles, and make poor musical sense. They leave me confused and irritated, rather than uplifted and inspired, as Genesis music does.
