5 stars If you don't have, it get it. I've always likes Greenslade's rich sound, whether playing a simple blues based number or playing their deeper music, theirs notes are intriguing just for their sound and texture alone. Perhaps my favourite; Time & Tide. I do rearrange the imagery and put my self in a musical version of the trial of christ (Time) and the Crucifixion (Tide), and then proceed to ball my eyes out. It's not their intention I know. For me, perhaps the greatest piece of rock music (time & tide together) ever made. Very rich, very transporting, very confident and the instruments are 'up front'. As Dave G. comes from Wales; their Doldrums is infused with a misty, craggy, Lord of Rings type hue. Having spent much time in Wales as a kid, the sound perfectly captures the mood I took from the place. Doldrums is terrific and full rock but with imagination. Not everyone's cup of tea but an album I still play on a regular basis which I can't say for much of the more 'important' works out there. This album has the trademarked Greenslade richness and intriguing double keyboard sounds and has stood the test of time for me. Not bad for a minor investment years and years ago. I rate it Fabulous and ranks among the greatest British Prog. Rock albums of all time. Thank you.
