5 stars I saw this band at ROSFest 2008 and they absolutely blew me away (although the review of their performance in the latest issue of Progression Magazine was lukewarm, which puzzles me). Everyone sitting in my vicinity also seemed to be really into the show, and Credo's lead singer did a wonderful job getting the crowd into it. It was the kind of performance that sticks with you for a long time afterwards. I went to buy a copy of Rhetoric after the show but they were sold out, so I waited until NEARFest to pick up a copy and I must say that it was tough to wait that long. I'm listening to this album right now and the emotion of it is absolutely stunning. Credo's music is reminiscent of early Marillion and the singer is reminiscent of Fish but they're distinct enough to not be a ripoff. Overall, I'd say that Rhetoric is one of the best neo-progressive albums of this decade - right up there with Dark Matter by I.Q. and Under a New Sign by Knight Area. So if you're even a casual fan of neo-progressive music then I would highly recommend this CD. The only problem is that it's really difficult to find a copy!
