3 stars This album is good, but it is definitely not Rush's best. If you're a hard-core fan, then get it. If you're not, then you're better off with Moving Pictures or Permanent Waves. The Pass is a slow one, but definitely the best. I wonder how many lives that song has saved. War Paint kind of drags, as does most of the other songs on this album. It lacks spark or flair and sounds kind of flat. The bass is enjoyable, however, and the lyrics are good. Rupert Hine's keyboarding on Anagram is fun to listen to if you're in the right mood. Don't look for any Tom Sawyer's here, however.
