3 stars I have never heard about this band before, but I have read from the other reviews that this is an untypical Pell Mell album. I cannot just brand them as an ELP clone, then.

The music on this album comes across as a blend of TRIUMVIRAT, ELP, TRACE and EKSEPTION. In the first two cases, that's a compliment. When it comes to TRACE and EKSEPTION, it is not a compliment. I have my issues, serious issues with bands who take one piece of classical music and "rocks" it up to become film music or muzak. Pell Mell has not fallen into that trap. Thankfully !

The violin's tones and staccato ripping reminds me about gypsy music. The keyboards reminds me about Keith Emerson and ELP. The music is unmistaken a cross between classical music and rock. Symphonic prog in other words. It is driven by both keyboards and violins. The vocals is OK. This is an album for all those who loves ELP and want more of the same stuff.

The quality of the music is good. The music is complex and dreamy at the same time. There is nothing offensive here. It is a good symphonic prog album and nothing more.
