4 stars When this album was released, you could tell that the BJH sound had mature. Because of this, there's nothing new here. This album contains "Hymn" a folk-rock classic. Two the best songs of BJH: "Poor Mans Moody Blues" and "Sea of Tranquility" (another epic classic of Wooly) and one group of good songs (especiality "Spirit on the Water"). In "Gone To Earth" the members of BJH developement your style: Wooly's symphonic and classic rock in "Sea"; John Lee's folk-rock in "Hymn" and rock in "Leper's" and Les Holroyd's more commercial rock in "Friend of Mine" and "Hard". In this album BJH show how the symphonic rock are good and simple in old seventies days!
