5 stars WILSON or how a giant of my age can still make us dream!!

1. First Regret for the prog intro, cutscene before time; sounds, an atmosphere, samples, bass ... high, a piano that flows, games, cries of children ... and 2. 3 Years Older tumbles, a sound, an acoustic guitar, a riff, energy, a melody that leaves, the bass à la Yes, if the prog is dead a phoenix has arrived with Steve Wilson who lets his casual voice; pop softness... we know, we close our eyes... half-term break which rumbles then return of a jazzy piano which calms, Steve alternates hot and cold; the second break on a destructuring 70s sound sowing the discord of sounds, Yes, King Crimson or Zappa and Gentle Giant in madness, great art; final which proves to me that Wilson makes intense Prog which revises all the musical layers, hold a note of the Who again, in short perfection 3. Hand Cannot Erase for the consensus title, let me explain; an air that goes to rock, pop, that of the R.E.M, a piece that does not stir me... but which passes easily and leaves me incredulous at the end... what already finished but I did not listen, that's it too Wilson! 4. Perfect Life clip à la Sigur Ros, Katherine's dark monolithic voice and her electro... ah to try out new releases over time; a visionary artist, if it was the Archangel we would have thought it was good from the start... in short, a mind-blowing nursery rhyme to dream of a perfect life 5. Routine because it's anything but that... THE immense title of the album, an OMNI title like the stairway, like the child in time, like the bohemian; from the first listen I was captivated by so much musical cruelty, how to make it so beautiful? I hadn't realized that Ninet could sing so well while being detached, I hadn't realized that Wilson was a great artist, a composer like you don't find anymore... fabulous title, composition in sensitivity, in symbiosis with the instruments, a practically indescribable must, la la la, something other than the French la la la to furnish, here it's art; 3 mins and it feels like being in a Genesis album before the air becomes darker, the bewitching break what; Guthrie releases a solo that we didn't think was possible between emotion and controlled enjoyment, go for a little piano and the absolute orgasmic high...Ninet shouts and makes us vibrate, moment of calm and associated cry; Steve picks up the thread with this simplistic arpeggio just to relieve us after this unforgettable climb, to say that there are 'people' who don't know, the poor. 6. Home Invasion ah that intro, that syncopated riff, ah that modern sound that was highlighted even more in concert with those stroboscopic spots and Steve's famous hand mimicking the notes; Adam and Marco give their time to shape the atmosphere.. of the spitting Wilson with a vocoder and the rhythm so particular, so expressive at the limit of discordance and then boom this bucolic, childish and intoxicating break, too beautiful; the sound comes back for a while 7. Regret #9 for a time of the sky with psychedelic scents; good the dreamlike keyboard break, it twirls but good to dare the solo as it must be inflated, prog no, art yes, (h) art-rock perhaps, the guitar solo that follows scotching, the ecstasy is continues, memory on the name of Steve that I discovered on an album of Fish, in short the two linked titles which leave you in apoplexy!! 8. Transience as a quickly dark, dantesque interlude, Steve declines words on a bucolic arpeggio, which did not think of the genesis during these few moments, rest after so much excitement. 9. Ancestral for the title and the consensual rise... I like this word, it's sweet, it's proven, it's predictable... 4 mn to have a Gilmourian solo, not prog you put me to sleep , nor metal you kick me out... but the solo that any of us would love to release; well I saved lives, I can't do everything; follows the progressive drift, the moment to see a group play together, to have fun.. yes Wilson is not just him, Nick plays the saxophone, Marco in his own way like a Neil with his baby drums around him, Adam adds a jazzy touch before the final surge, heavy, bewitching, heavy, gripping, heavy, hypnotic, heavy, oriental or almost, heavy, reminding me of the dreamlike rises of ANEKDOTEN... Prog as we dare to ask, violence brings you to reflect on the heavy side of prog and its excellence in concert with this sound rise, in short immense! 10. Happy Returns yes the acoustic nursery rhyme is here; the title that will languish with an agreed vocal crescendo... and the contribution of the just crystalline, giant solo, on two levels, the second amplified and transcending the atmosphere, like what to write agreed is not synonymous with bof song !! 11. Ascendant Here on... arrives chained, finally seeing that it comes from up there I would say that it follows on a padded cloud coming from limbo; the religious final outro, grandiloquent like this album which is indeed a progressive must.
