4 stars 1The Ides Of March for this orchestral intro which had me hooked in its time; what an instrumental, but it could be prog then, I hear prog metal, in short superb intro which turns in all directions and which shows that the drums could have a place of choice 2 Wrathchild continues by offering this new sound, yes the NWOBM was them above all; rhythm, aggression and energy and a Paul on vocals that I have always loved 3 Murders In The Rue Morgue and yet another intro to make any proud person who tries to do it with two notes for a soporific melodic rendering turn pale with shame; yes it must be said here it is energy; bam the verse comes crashing down, this title is connected to 540 volts; the solo squirts, the bass sets the tone, in short it's dynamite; so in addition a title by Poe I am in heaven 4 Another Life and the drums that flow, the guitar that screams straight away, the hard, ah heavy metal was full of musical amphetamines; in short today it seems simple to hear Steve's bass so outdated, but take yourself back to 81 and tell yourself that it was pretty cool then; extra rhythm and solo worthy of a final hard band 5 Genghis Khan and again this battery from Clive which hits every corner; ah by the way I forgot to point out, yes we are on an instrumental again, the 2nd on the side, the prog blood flows devilishly well; whatever they say 6 Innocent Exile yes Steve you are the thought leader, like Phil in Thin Lizzy, but you don't sing; mama he says and it scrolls; mama he belches and the drums sway from a riff to 'The Knife' by Genesis, go guitar; yes two guitarists Dave and Adrian who bring the NWPBM sauce up; brief first exquisite side.

7 Killers that I always put twice for the start-up intro; yes screams, crystal clear guitar and swelling rhythm, Paul who enjoys pain and another minute of ecstasy before the verse; in short the heavy title, yes we could finally write it 9 Prodigal Son and its 1'15 of enjoyable acoustic intro, which you say to yourself but that's not hard... no it's heavy: sensuality, romantic groove I invent, but what a kick; in short the long latent progressive title which rises gently and which takes us to icy arid lands; halfway through and the solo worthy of one of the Judas Priests with the drums firmly in place and the notes stretching out, the second one arriving... which of Adrian or Dave is the author... we know Don't care Steve with his bass shows us that the prog flows a little and that's important; yes it's heavy but we always secretly hope that the hard will merge well with the prog to give something sensational; brief sensual melodic metal ballad here 10 Purgatory arrives with the typical title, everything is in place, Paul's voice is more aggressive in my opinion, the guitar solo which will make the group proud arrives suddenly between two verses, yes the Maiden shake up the codes, and yes that listen 11Drifter comes to close the album, it beats up, it screams everywhere, heavy in every sense of the word, the guitar which announces, which declines, the violence of the hit, the desire to see on stage how it would go down... because ultimately it's quite cool, yes this marshmallow guitar solo, bordering on spleen which arrives suddenly, which bewitches, this little bucolic break before the flight, only happiness; slightly flat end, hole in the mouth, yes given the thunderous start on CD 95 we have: 8 Twilight Zone for the quick title which is old... yes the kind of tune that we found during the 70's, good but overrated, in short we can't ask for perfection and this title is the example Women In Uniform for the pleasure of having the CD with the 1st Maiden title never released before except in 45, yes this flagship title which made me prick my ears when it was released; let's come back to Eddie who we see there for the first time too and we say to ourselves that Maiden is really good!
