3 stars Steve dropped the music quality after the first fantastic album. Not that it is not a memorable album, it has its catchy moments and the great title track but there isn't much to explore after repeated listens. Two highlights are the famous "Kim" with a flute/acoustic tandem, a very elegant composition and the title track with delicate guitar with various tastes - acoustic and electric., synths and flute. I like also the bass played with pedal that creates depth. "The voice of Necam" showcases a computer sound until we have a pure beauty sound of acoustic guitar. The last and only long track "Icarus Ascending" has a good synths that make it more symphonic. "Narnia" sounds like a lost Kansas track but without typical hard rock guitar and violins. The main problem of this album is two-fold: The sound is too streamlined and music ideas just aren't good enough for a 4-star album. Moreover, songs don't seem to be connected to each other.
