"Alphataurus," the eponymous debut album by the Italian band of the same name, stands as a testament to the brief yet dazzling brilliance of a group propelled by a meteoric rise under the banner of the nascent Magma record label. While not necessarily pioneering in originality within the Italian prog scene, Alphataurus's sonic tapestry evokes echoes of revered contemporaries like Museo Rosenbach and Il Balletto di Bronzo.
