5 stars (I insist, gradient-philes, the album cover is bad.)

Close To The Edge is the highest rated album in this entire site. It's also the most rated and most reviewed, and beats Selling England By The Pound by 0.03 points which is actually a lot in the top 10, so I doubt any other album will overtake it.

Practically an essential album for symphonic prog, Yes' fifth album featured quintessential characteristics for prog, such as +15minute epics, virtuosity and an excellent use of vocals. The title track is undeniably the best track from the album and features an amazing use of time signatures and accentuations. And You And I is probably the worst from the album but still absolutely amazing. It has a nice little buildup going on around it. Siberian Kathru is one hell of a rocker and it closes the album on a high note.

Perfect from beginning to end, it's one of those albums that would become worse if even the slightest bit of it was changed. Go listen it now if you haven't. Seriously, I'm not joking. It's an order.
