4 stars IRIS is the French band created by Sylvain Gouvernaire, regular member of the ARRAKEEN group. In the first part of concert with MARILLION, he managed to poach two of their members to release this timeless hovering album. Fan of Steve ROTHERY, he therefore plays in addition to keyboards and piano on his guitar to take us on a journey on progressive, hovering, evasive and contemplative titles.

Note that these eight songs have the particularity of offering four long titles followed by four shorter ones: on the one hand, my preference is always on "War", "Indian Dream" and the magnificent "Crossing The Desert", titles of another genre taking you to travel without asking the question of which genre of music we are; it is really relaxing, suave, bluffing and very creative. Note that the short '' Obsession '' and '' Ocean Song '' allow them to make you leave more quickly in this other world that is IRIS.

IRIS is part of what I call an OMNI (unidentified musical object) an extraordinary album, out of convention, full of feeling to listen to in a loop.
