ENGLISH ELECTRIC (PART TWO)

This review is for the original release, not including the bonus tracks from 2013. So is Part Two as good as Part One (which I gave 5 stars)? Almost but not quite. There are some excellent track here: East Coast Racer, Swan Hunter, and Curator of Butterflies. These are top notch Big Big Train songs and are classics in their set lists. The rest are good, but just don't interest me as much. Especially Leopards. Not sure why but it just never clicked with me. After this album, I find that the music from Big Big Train is very hit and miss. I find myself really enjoying 2-3 songs per album, but the rest bore me. It's a shame, really, as I love English Electric Part One so much, even considering it the best album of 2012. Just 4 stars for this successor. (Actually about 3 1/2)
