5 stars There isn't much that I can add to most of the positive reviews that have already been posted and there are reasons for all these praises. This is 'Yes' perfection personified. All I can add is that the standout track for me is not the title track or Siberian Kahatru(they would better that one live), but the stately 'And You and I.' That is one track where the production is absolutely sterling. And to my mind, they never bettered it live. 'And You and I' is one of progressive rock's beautiful and glorious moments. This album is worth owning just for that one track alone. ' Siberian Kahatru' is the driving, rockier track of the three, although as I have written before, I preferred it done live. Check out the superb version from 'Yessongs.' The title track of Close to The Edge is one of the more perfect epics ever committed to record. At times, atmospheric and ethereal, and at other times intense and rocking. It is not a minute too long nor a minute too short. Its not only a 'must have' album in the 'prog' genre, but the 'rock' genre as well.
